"You’ve never been here, have you?" Dexter asked.

Lyra shook her head. Her telepathic voice echoed in his mind.

"No. This is the first time I’m seeing your room. It is quite nice. Spacious."

Dexter blinked. "Yeah. It is quite spacious. I would have let one of you girls come share the room with me, but it would be inappropriate. And I don’t think any of you would accept."

Lyra shrugged. The gesture was casual. Easy.

"It’s all right. The three of us are quite comfortable sleeping in one room."

Dexter nodded as he began preparing the bed. Spreading the blanket. Adjusting the pillow.

"Even though I feel like you girls need your own personal rooms," he said.

Lyra continued looking around. Her fingers touched the edge of his nightstand. Traced the grain of the wood.

"Yeah. We are women, so we definitely need privacy. However, since the three of us are cultivating the same technique, there is no secret between us. So there is not much need for privacy between ourselves."

She paused.

"But getting a new house would be much better."

Dexter nodded. He agreed completely but he would have been moving if not for the incident with the Harvest Home.

The bed was ready. Pillow positioned, oil, glove, towel, all in place.

He looked at Lyra.

"Remove your outer clothing," he said. "The massage works best on bare skin."

Lyra was caught off haired by Dexter’s bluntness and she was immediately shy.

Dexter opened his mouth to explain about deep tissue massage and mana transfer and pressure points and the importance of direct skin contact for optimal technique performance.

Before the first word of the explanation left his mouth, Lyra reached for the hem of her gown and pulled it off in one swift motion and then dropped it beside the bed without ceremony, revealing a dark bra and dark panties.

Dexter’s breath caught and he was stunned.

Lyra’s chest was massive that even her bra was struggling to fully hold them.

Selene’s chest wasn’t as massive but her back compensated for it. Mira hed both front and back. While not that large, it was a handful while Lyra had a massive front!

He immediately inhaled and calmed himself.

"Come," he said. His voice was steady. "Lie down on the bed."

Lyra blinked at him innocently and obviously as she nodded and walked to the bed. Lay down. Face down.

On the blanket. Her dark hair spread across the pillow. Her hands rested at her sides.

Dexter looked at her.

Even face down, Lyra’s chest was visible, spreading to the sides, visible from above as a curve of flesh that extended beyond the width of her ribcage.

Dexter inhaled deeply and fit his own peace of mind, he cut off the circulation to his lower body!

He started with her legs.

He placed his oiled hands on her right foot and began.

Her feet were clean. Incredibly clean. The particular, soft, smooth, well-maintained quality of skin that had been cared for despite three years of hardship.

Then Lyra spoke.

"Your bed smells nice and masculine."

The words arrived in his mind through the telepathic connection.

Dexter’s hands paused on her calf.

"Thank you," he said.

Then Lyra spoke again.

"Do you use perfume? Or is this your natural musky scent?"

Dexter blinked.

"No," he said. "I don’t use perfume."

Lyra raised her head. Turned it slightly to look back at him.

"That is really surprising," she said. Her telepathic voice carried genuine wonder. "Because your bed smells really good. I can’t quite place the smell. It is very exotic. And attractive."

The last word landed in Dexter’s mind with the particular, weighted, loaded quality of a term that was being used in a specific, biological, pheromone-related context.

Dexter knew what she was talking about.

His bloodline.

The Ancient Flame Demon Bloodline, evolved to its Ancient Grade, had been changing his body in ways that went beyond cultivation and combat ability.

His skin produced pheromones.

The particular, concentrated, enhanced, bloodline-amplified pheromones that an Demon Bloodline generated as a passive byproduct of its evolutionary advancement.

The pheromones were designed by the bloodline’s biological framework to attract.

The effect was not something Dexter could control.

Everyone who entered his room would smell it.

The particular, exotic, musky, impossible-to-identify but impossible-to-ignore scent that was not perfume and not cologne and not any commercially produced fragrance but was instead the chemical signature of his bloodline.

To women, the effect was particularly pronounced. The pheromones were designed to be attractive to females.

Not consciously. Not in a way that could be identified or resisted through awareness. The attraction operated at the level of instinct. At the level of biology. At the level where the body responded to chemical signals before the brain could evaluate them.

Lyra was responding.

Her body, pressed against his bed, surrounded by his scent, was processing the pheromones through her olfactory system.

The chemical signals were traveling through her nasal passages to her limbic system, where they were triggering responses that she was interpreting as "exotic" and "attractive" without understanding the biological mechanism behind the interpretation.

She didn’t know it was pheromones.

She just knew his bed smelled good.

Dexter knew it was pheromones.

And he knew that the pheromones, combined with the massage, combined with the physical intimacy of the situation, combined with the fact that Lyra was already predisposed to find him attractive, were creating a particular, volatile, potentially combustible combination of biological and emotional factors that he needed to manage very carefully.

"It’s just my natural scent," Dexter said. "Nothing special."

Lyra turned her head back into the pillow and then pressed her nose into it and inhaled deeply.

If was as though she didn’t mind he was inhaling his scent and just did it.

"It’s very nice," she murmured into the pillow. Her telepathic voice was drowsy and really relaxed. "Very masculine and also very warm. Are you sure you aren’t using any perfume?"

She asked suspiciously.

Dexter chuckled ass he continued his massage. "There’s no reason I’d lie to you Lyra."
