Chapter 241 | Massaging Selene
Dexter voice sounded even thicker and huskier than it should have been as he spoke.
"Lay down."
Selene was dressed in a cardigan over her body and a thick skirt. As she lay down on her bed, Dexter’s heartbeat immediately increased. He closed his eyes and managed to calm himself, his face remaining expressionless as he approached her.
"It’s a deep tissue massage," he explained. "Which is why j would need to remove most of your clothing."
At that moment, Selene glanced at him, her pale white eyes narrowing as if she were about to attack him.
Dexter immediately raised his hands. "Just like I said, it’s a deep tissue massage. The more clothing you wear, the less chance for the technique to work. Don’t worry. Although I’m not gay—I would never think of you girls that way."
Selene frowned, and Dexter felt the chill in the surrounding air increase drastically.
"Are we that unappealing to you?" she asked, her voice carrying a cold edge.
Dexter shook his head immediately. "No, it is actually quite the opposite."
Selene blinked, looking at him.
Dexter continued. "You girls are more appealing than anyone I have ever seen in my entire life. Apart from a single person. But I have a technique to suppress my thoughts and suppress myself. That’s why I said I would never think of you girls that way. This is purely professional."
He paused, letting his words settle.
"And you want to increase the healing to your body, don’t you? To do that, I have to do this massage. If you don’t let me do that, although you will heal, the healing might be even lesser than before."
Selene couldn’t see, but her pale white eyes glanced at him for a few seconds. Then she slowly nodded.
"Okay. I shall lie down on the bed."
Dexter smiled. "I will start to remove your clothes."
Selene’s face flushed red, but she slowly nodded and muttered a tiny "okay" that even with Dexter’s enhanced hearing, he could barely hear.
He successfully removed her cardigan. Then he removed the shirt she was wearing underneath, leaving the bra she wore. His fingers slowly went downward as he removed her skirt.
"I’m removing your skirt right now," he said.
Selene’s face flushed even redder, her entire body turning red. She didn’t say anything, but Dexter attributed it to her saying "okay." So he went down and removed her skirt.
Dexter’s eyes widened as he saw her entire pale skin.
Her skin was even paler than anything he had ever seen in his entire life. He had never expected somebody’s skin to be so white. He had never seen anybody’s skin, or even thought anybody’s skin could be so white, so crispy, and so clean.
Her skin was fucking crispy, clean, white, and fresh. It was like she was a newborn baby. There was no freckle on her skin.
Mira’s skin was fresh and had a few freckles on it, giving it its beauty. Selene’s skin was different entirely, having no freckles, not a single thing, not a single blemish on it. It was fucking white like milk.
Dexter’s heartbeat increased rapidly, even when he tried to distract himself by using his cultivation, by chanting his cultivation chant. The sight of that skin made his heartbeat increase rapidly.
However, he still managed to calm himself as he spoke.
"Turn around."
He spoke with a nonchalant tone, keeping his voice steady.
Selene looked at him for a while, then she turned her back on him, revealing her back.
As she turned her back on him, Dexter, who was using all his best to suppress the redness of his face because Selene was looking at him, suddenly blurted out.
The moment he blurted out, his entire face flushed red in an instant, as blood rushed through his entire face and skin. If Selene had been looking at him at this moment, she would have immediately known what he was thinking.
But she wasn’t looking. She was facing away, her silver hair cascading down her pale back, waiting.
Dexter took a deep breath, steadying himself. He reached for the oil, pouring a generous amount into his palms and warming it between his hands. The familiar scent of herbs filled the room, grounding him.
He placed his hands on her shoulders, and Selene flinched slightly at the contact. Her skin very cool to the touch, almost cold.
"Relax," he said softly. "This will feel strange at first, but it will help."
Dexter then began the technique, channeling his mana through his palms in slow, deliberate pulses. The shockwave glove on his hands hummed faintly, sending micro-vibrations through her muscles, breaking down tension and stimulating circulation.
Selene let out a small breath as he’d shoulders, which had been rigid, slowly began to loosen.
Dexter worked methodically, moving from her shoulders down her spine, then to her lower back. Each press, each pulse, each wave of warmth was measured and precise. He focused entirely on the technique—on the healing—pushing everything else from his mind.
Seconds passed, and then minutes passed in silence. The only sounds were the soft hum of the glove and the occasional whisper of breath.
At that moment, Dexter suddenly knew. If he didn’t do anything else to distract himself, he might actually be consumed by lust. Might actually lose control entirely.
So he suddenly spoke.
"Selene, I want to ask you a question."
Selene was silent for a while before she spoke. "Okay."
Dexter continued, distracting himself from the feeling. "Is this house okay to you, or should I get a different one separate from this place?"
Selene remained silent for a while before she spoke.
"Although this house is quite decent and the neighborhood is quite okay, our families know exactly where we are staying. The Calloway family, the Vance family, the Frost family, and the Ashford family all know exactly where we are staying. We are put at a disadvantage toward them, and we are at their mercy staying exactly here. While I know you have the deed to the house, it doesn’t matter to any of the top three families. They can do whatever they wish in this place. So while this particular neighborhood isn’t bad, it is quite practical to immediately change location, so we won’t be at the mercy of the top three families."
Dexter remained silent for a while as he thought. Selene’s thought was exactly his thought. That was what he had been thinking about when he wanted to get a new house.
