His Discarded Luna, the Rival's Obsession

Chapter 70 The Wood Family Clinic

Before leaving, Natalie paused at the door.

"What should we do downstairs? Alpha Hale knows Eira is at the hotel."

Alpha Killian’s expression turned cold.

"His sister set this up. Save every second of security footage, pull the key card records, and call the police. No one leaves until we know exactly what happened."

"What about Alpha Hale?"

"Keep him away from Eira. If he causes trouble, have security escort him out."

"Got it."

Natalie closed the door behind her.

Mrs. Wood turned back to the tub.

"Her wet clothes need to come off. I’ll cut them away and keep her covered. You hold her shoulders and make sure she doesn’t move when I place the needles."

Alpha Killian’s jaw tightened. "Shouldn’t Natalie stay instead?"

"She can’t hold Eira steady if she starts fighting again," the older woman said. "I need your strength, and your scent is keeping her calmer."

Alpha Killian looked at Eira. Sweat covered her flushed face despite the warm herbal bath, and her breathing remained fast and uneven.

He crouched beside the tub but kept his hands to himself.

"Eira, listen to me."

Her eyes opened slowly.

"Your wet clothes have to be removed so she can treat you," he said. "She’ll do it, not me. I only need to hold you still. Do you understand?"

Eira struggled to focus on him, then gave a faint nod.

"I may have to touch your shoulders and back," Alpha Killian added. "Is that okay?"

She nodded again.

A tear slipped down her cheek.

Alpha Killian caught it with his thumb before he could stop himself.

"You’re safe," he said quietly. "No one here is going to hurt you."

Mrs. Wood placed a folded towel across Eira’s chest and gave Alpha Killian a sharp look.

"Eyes up, Alpha."

His gaze immediately returned to Eira’s face.

"I know."

"Good. Hold her steady."

Alpha Killian slid one arm behind Eira’s shoulders, keeping the towel firmly in place while the older woman carefully cut away the soaked fabric beneath the water.

Eira flinched and grabbed his wrist.

"I’ve got you," Alpha Killian said. "Just hold on."

Sterling House

Mrs. Black allowed Alpha Sebastian to inspect Room 9908 with hotel security present. Serena and Isabella followed him upstairs.

Water covered the hallway. Inside the room, staff were running wet vacuums, and the bathroom door hung from its broken frame.

Isabella stopped cold.

"What the hell happened?"

Alpha Sebastian turned on her. "You booked this room?"

"I was helping Eira. She had too much to drink, so I brought her up here."

"You left her alone in this mess?"

"Alpha Killian came looking for her," Isabella said quickly. "He must’ve taken her."

Serena picked up the story at once.

"Doesn’t Alpha Killian keep a private suite here?"

Mrs. Black’s expression cooled. "Alpha Killian’s whereabouts are private."

"Then call him," Isabella snapped. "He took Eira’s phone from me."

Mrs. Black held her gaze.

"Why did you have Miss Crawford’s phone?"

Isabella had no answer.

Alpha Sebastian looked around the flooded room, his patience gone.

"My wife is missing, the bathroom door has been kicked in, and no one will tell me what happened. Call Alpha Killian, or I’m calling the police."

"The police have already been contacted," Mrs. Black said. "We’re treating this as a possible crime scene."

Alpha Sebastian pulled out his phone and called Eira again.

This time, she answered.

"Eira?"

"It’s me," she whispered.

Her weak voice wiped the anger from his face.

"Where are you? Are you hurt?"

He heard an older woman speaking in the background.

"The Wood Family Clinic," Eira repeated faintly. "You can look it up."

The call ended.

Alpha Sebastian headed for the elevators.

Serena hurried after him. "You found her?"

"She’s at a clinic."

"Is Alpha Killian with her?"

Alpha Sebastian did not answer.

Back in the lobby, Miles blocked Isabella before she could follow.

"Not you, Miss Hale."

She glared at him. "Get out of my way."

"Security footage shows you handling Eira’s wineglass. An on-site test also found an unknown substance in the leftover wine."

The color drained from Isabella’s face.

"That’s crazy. I didn’t put anything in her drink."

Miles raised an eyebrow.

"I never said you did."

Isabella realized her mistake too late.

"You’re trying to pin this on me."

"No one is pinning anything on you. The police are on their way, and you’re going to answer their questions."

She turned to Alpha Sebastian.

"You’re really leaving me here?"

Alpha Sebastian hesitated, but Serena took his arm.

"Eira may be in trouble. We need to go."

Alpha Sebastian looked at Miles. "Make sure my sister is treated fairly."

"She’ll be treated exactly as the evidence requires," Miles said.

"Sebastian!" Isabella called after him.

He left with Serena.

The moment they got into the car, Serena texted Isabella.

[Keep your cool. Don’t admit to anything. Alpha Sebastian always has your back. He’ll fix this.]

A second message followed.

[I’m going with him to find out what happened. Once Eira is gone and Sebastian and I are together, I’ll help you study abroad. You know I take care of family.]

Isabella read the messages twice.

Her panic eased. Alpha Sebastian had always bailed her out before, and Serena had too much to lose to abandon her now.

She sat on a lobby sofa and crossed her legs.

"Fine. I’ll answer their questions."

Then she waved toward the front desk.

"Fine. I’ll cooperate. But if you’re keeping me here, the least you can do is get me a coffee."

Alpha Sebastian and Serena arrived at the Wood Family Acupuncture Clinic minutes later.

The moment they entered, they spotted Natalie and Dr. Wood in the waiting room.

Serena’s eyes flickered. That settled it. Alpha Killian was here with Eira.

She slipped her arm through Alpha Sebastian’s and said softly, "Looks like Alpha Killian brought her here himself."

Then she gave a small, knowing smile.

"Must be nice to have a boss who makes house calls."

Alpha Sebastian’s expression turned cold.
